The Introduction to Carving course focuses on the basics of incised and low relief carving and the different types of tools used in carving, chisels, gouges and v–tool. Students will learn the necessary hand skills, how to sharpen tools and how to set up a good carving kit.
At the end of the course, students will have completed an incised project and a low relief panel, and will have the skill needed to undertake basic carving projects independently.
