This two week course is intended to give an opportunity to those students of an intermediate skill level who would like to increase their technical knowledge by exploring and experimenting with new forms and woodworking processes. Through daily demonstrations and individual instruction, students will be encouraged to try each of the techniques and design a piece of work incorporating some of these more technical processes. Tools and machinery will be set up so that students can try the processes throughout the two weeks to gain proficiency and gain a wider understanding of the various techniques. This course will cover a huge amount in a short space of time, giving students a massive step-up in their knowledge, skill level and awareness of more complex techniques and the ability to seriously design and make future projects. Michael Fortune is an incredible teacher sharing his vast knowledge gained over forty years of experience which he is so willing to share. This course is an exciting option available for those who aren't in a position to undertake the six week residency programme with Michael – with a huge amount of knowledge base being covered in a two week course and an excellent alternative learning opportunity for the serious woodworker.
