FRIENDS OF THE SCHOOL
Much of what goes on behind the scenes here to create this very special place is due to a handful of people's absolute passion and belief in the school. The place just wouldn't be the same without the many hours of voluntary work and endless goodwill from the trustees (unpaid) and the core staff (who don’t earn a lot!). We know that you probably understand the uniqueness of our school - many of you who have been here, you've experienced the quality of the teaching and you have learnt from experts in their field who are passionate about sharing their knowledge.
By becoming a Friend of the School you will be helping us to raise funds for two specific purposes:-
To continually add to or replace our tools and equipment which in turn enhances the student experience.
To promote our annual exhibition within New Zealand. Our annual exhibition in Nelson runs through the summer and our exhibitions are visited by thousands of people each year. This event greatly increases our public profile and widens our already great reputation, assuring the school's future as the best little woodworking school in the southern hemisphere.
